Dr. Brenda Leroux Babin


Brenda Leroux Babin, PhD has a passion for helping people use computer technology to improve their lives. Babin has over 30 years of experience dedicated to education and leadership in Terrebonne Parish. Most recently, Babin is a retired Computer Science instructor at Fletcher Technical College. She also taught at Nicholls State University, Evergreen Junior High School, South Terrebonne High School, and Louisiana State University. Currently, Babin represents District 5 on the Terrebonne Parish School Board. She served 10 years as the Information and Technology Manager at Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) where she not only took care of LUMCON's computer systems but also served as public information manager and as manager of the environmental monitoring program. She recently opened the Busy Bee Clinic, a computer training and support center, to live her passion and serve the community. Dr. Lauren Ellender


Lauren Ellender, DVM is a veterinarian and a native of Houma, Louisiana. After graduating from Vandebilt CHS in 1990, she obtained her BS from LSU in 1994. In June 2003, she graduated from Ross University and received her DVM. She is currently practicing Small Animal Emergency medicine with some relief work. She is married to Atty Carl T Schwab and they reside in Houma with his children Lollie and J Hunter Schwab, along with dogs Samantha, Gus, Riley, and Blue. Lauren has been a board member of KTB since 2006. Other interests include birding, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Cally Trosclair

Cally Yelverton Trosclair, mother of three, is a former lecturer of developmental and freshman English at Nicholls State University (2001-2005) and is currently an adjunct English instructor at Fletcher Technical Community College (2005, 2009-present). She also works for Terrebonne Parish School District as a substitute teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (2000) from Nicholls, and has completed 27 hours towards her Master of Arts in English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In the past, she has also worked as a contract grant writer and a reviewer for the writing portion of the SAT for Pearson Education
